| "SUPERLEARNING
is the work of a detective team that hunted down the techniques - and the evidence
that they work - in the secrecy-shrouded Communist bloc. Their work reads like a spy
story bolstered with painstaking research and tenacious pursuit of 'taboo'
material." City Woman (Toronto) |
Schroeder & Ostrander talking about Superlearning in Tokyo |
Sheila Ostrander & Lynn Schroeder and Nancy Ostrander are the team. Internationally acclaimed authors, they are well known for seeking out breakthrough discoveries about human possibilities around the world. They have written ten books - bestsellers in 25 languages, appeared on over 2000 TV & radio shows and lectured globally. A duo that can help you separate the steak from the sizzle, the hope from the hype in human potential.
They introduced accelerated learning. Ostrander & Schroeder were the first to uncover an almost unbelievable new way to open potential that was hotly pursued in the Communist world.
But would it work in Des Moines?
They brought the news to the West and almost sank under an avalanche of interest - some from unusual places. When they spoke at the Pentagon's think tank, the Institute of Defense Analysis, the most frequent question was "What about that learning system.."Pioneering teachers at the University of Toronto & Iowa State University proved it can work here - spectacularly. Ostrander & Schroeder combined reams of new scientific breakthroughs to come up with a practical do-it-yourself system - Superlearning.
Who can use it? Executives and grammar school kids, retirees, med students, metaphysicians and language mavens have succeeded with Superlearning. So have business trainers at Audi & IBM. Proven on five continents, Superlearning can help you grow.

Superlearning/Accelerated
Learning -
A Documented Breakthrough
Horse and buggy learning isn't going to cut it on the information superhighways of the 21st Century.
From hard experience, most of us think
education means cramming something in, like stuffing a sausage. But the literal
meaning of education is "to draw out from."
Superlearning and its sister accelerated systems are
designed to draw out a wealth of innate talent and, though you may not think so, the vast
store of knowledge you already possess. Instead of IQ, you work with PQ - your
potential quotient.
Superlearning engages all of your abilities: your whole brain, your emotions, your imagination and your body - parts of you often ignored or repressed in old style education.
You can forget "no pain, no gain." Superlearning works on the chemistries of relaxation and pleasure, which among other benefits, enhance long term memory.
New breakthroughs are continually expanding Superlearning - things like the use of high
frequency sound, image streaming, super nutrition, mind machines.
The snowballing learning revolution is a solidly documented one. See the extensive bibliographies in Superlearning and Superlearning 2000.
Check out the academic Journal of the Society for Accelerative Learning & Teaching held at libraries and the national Eric System, Center for Applied Linguistics, 3520 Prospect St. NW, Washington, D.C. Look in the journals of overseas professional groups.
Or, try it yourself. Experience the freedom that comes with Superlearning and you just might wind up agreeing with the school bus driver from Ohio who said, "I'm so excited I don't know which way to turn." Or, you might realize as executives of the electronics giant Siemens did, "I can learn anything!"

SUPERLEARNING
By Sheila Ostrander & Lynn Schroeder with Nancy Ostrander
An Excerpt from Chapter I
"We are just beginning to discover the virtually limitless capacities of the mind," says philosopher, Dr. Jean Houston.
Dr. Frederic Tilney, one of France's outstanding brain specialists, declares, "We will, by conscious command, evolve cerebral centers which will permit us to use powers that we now are not even capable of imagining."
We've just barely begun to realize the potential of a fully powered man or woman. That idea is becoming very vocal in the upper echelons. It's supported by people as various as theologian-scientist Teilhard de Chardin and mind-drug explorer, Dr. Timothy Leary.
We've cracked the cocoon, we're being told. We can start shaking out our wings; it's time to claim our birthright. We can be so much more than we are. It's a seductive idea. And it always has been, because almost everybody has a secret, though few admit it. We feel there's something special about ourselves. Maybe it hasn't quite burst forth, maybe others don't quite see it, yet it's there. Now, it's beginning to look as if all those unrealistic, stubborn human feelings are right. We are special - or could be.
If we are going to grow into these potentials, waiting, it seems just beyond reach, we have to have new routes to get there. We need to learn how to learn. That's what this book is about, learning how to learn better, faster and without stress. The kind of learning that makes you feel good while you're doing it.
The open sesame learning secrets covered draw on a host of sources - from the ancient insights of Raja yoga to the latest breakthroughs of brain/mind science. They draw too from the experience of super stars: golf aces, memory whizzes, top CEOs.
Various as they are, all these systems share a common viewpoint, a holistic viewpoint. They see you always as a whole person. Whether you are trying to learn French, play tennis or make a good business decision, they work on the principle that you have a logical mind, an intuitive mind, emotions, imagination, and a body. Holistic learning aims to use the full power of your being and have all parts of you working together in concert.
What happens when you do get yourself together is the difference between learning and superlearninng. Discovering just how much one can do is almost unsettling, as a group of Bulgarians found when they got involved with perhaps the most striking, far-reaching learning system in this book. They heard it was a way to learn and remember vast quantities of information, quickly, effectively and, it was claimed, with less effort than any of them thought possible. These fifteen men and women, aged twenty-two to sixty, gathered in a warm, sunny room in standing on a shady side street near the heart of Bulgaria's time worn capital, Sofia.
"Nothing can come of this," a woman doctor complained to the architect beside her as the group arranged themselves in a circle of easy chairs. Others chimed in, an engineer, several teachers, a judge. "This is a waste of time." The teacher arrived; she too was having trouble shaking the feeling that she'd been asked to do the impossible.
As the class members shuffled through pages of material, the teacher started reading French phrases in different intonations. Then stately classical music began to play in the background. The fifteen men and women leaned back, closed their eyes, and embarked on developing hypermnesia, more easily called supermemory. The teacher kept. reciting. Sometimes her voice was businesslike as if ordering work to be done, sometimes it sounded soft, whispering -then unexpectedly hard and commanding.
Shadows began to darken the room. It was sunset, yet still the teacher repeated in a special rhythm French words, idioms, translations. Finally, she stopped. But they still had a test to take. At least the class members weren't as keyed up. Somehow during the session their anxiety had been smoothed, the usual kinks relaxed. But they still didn't hold much hope for decent test scores.
Finally the teacher told the, "The class average is ninety-seven percent. You learned one thousand words in a day!"
One thousand - they knew that was like learning almost half the working vocabulary of a language in a few hours. And they'd done it effortlessly. Men and women wheeled out of the Institute feeling ten feet taller, feeling as if they'd just had a fundamental encounter, for the extra-dimensional beings they'd met were themselves.
Usually in such courses, people learn 50 to 150 new bits of information a session. This was a very special experiment it helped prove something he suspected: The human ability to learn and remember is virtually limitless. Colleagues call this "tapping the reserves of the mind." To the people who've tried, it's more like suddenly coming into a large legacy. They see themselves differently. Possibilities open up. They begin to grow into a larger notionn of who they are and what they can do.
Even before students were coming to the unsettling realization that they could all perform like "geniuses," Hannes Lindemann, a German doctor, embarked on a different kind of feat. He bet his life on another new way to open potential. Launching his one-man sailing canoe from the Canary Island, he swung the bow of the canvas boat west; he was going to the new world. "West," Lindemann told himself, "west." The command even echoed and took form in his dreams. For seventy-two days and nights, he sailed on, sitting upright, like lonely pea in his canvas shell.....

Supermemory: The Revolution
by Sheila Ostrander & Lynn Schroeder
An excerpt: from chapter Four...
....It isn't just Proust who was catapulted by his senses into the living world of memory. We all know the experience. Now, thanks to Dr. French Schab, science knows it too, from what might be called the fond-food-memory experiment. Schab gave various groups of Yale undergrads a list of forty adjectives. "Write down the opposite of each." He didn't tell them that the next day they'd be tested for their memory of what they wrote. He said something stranger. "Try to imagine the smell of chocolate while you're working."
Schab treated one group to the real, mouth watering aroma when of chocolate as they wrote and again when tested. Chocoholics will be reassured to know that this group remembered significantly better than those completely or partly deprived of the sensory fix. To work, the original memory had to have a chocolate smell and later a booster sniff was needed to bring it back.
If you're dieting, don't worry. Any distinctive smell can be a memory link, Schab points out. He suggests using different odors for different topics one learns in school. Why not at work? Mothballs for meeting notes, sausage for statistics... One caveat, you have to smell the real thing to resonate memory. Imagining didn't work, at least in Schab's tests, though we suspect a trained imaginer might just pull it off.
Perhaps smells are so evocative because, unlike the sense of sight or sound, they shoot directly to the the brain, to the switching station for memory and feeling. This lightning effect could be lifesaver in an emergency, Schab speculates. Why not use an odor when training pilots in emergency procedures, then automatically release the smell if disaster strikes. It could "bring back a lot of information about how to do things, what to do next." All five sense imprint a memory. You can purposefully try any or all to cue back memory. Visualize former surroundings....."

Sound Therapy for the Walk Man
by Patricia Joudry
Excerpt from the Foreword by Yehudi Menuhin
...We seem to think that the ear is dispensable. We concenttrate overwhelmingly on what is visual. Everything that we cultivate or build impresses through the eyes, by size, color and shape. We ignore the miracle of the ear, which conveys its message through a greater abstraction than sound. Sound goes directly into our bodies. What the aural can do to the inside of our brain, tothe "within" of our lives, nothing else can do.
The use of the higher vibrations, as described in this book, open a whole new world to us.Sound Therapy has a specific effect which seems to have wide implications and to yield undreamed of results. I believe that it constitutes a breakthrough to a new level of effectiveness in music and health.

#150A - Quality Trade Edition Top Superlearning™ ACCELERATED LEARNING"We only use about 5% of our capabilities," the great philosopher William James said over a 100 years ago. Finally a lot of people are waking up to more of themselves with accelerated learning - the generic name for Superlearning. The last two decades have brought more scientific understanding of how mindbody works than was known in all history before. At the same time, ancient wisdom is working back into consciousness - springing from such things as Raja Yoga, the study of chi, the esoteric side of music. Superlearning systems pull together insights from many diverse strands to give almost anyone a revolutionary new way to evolve and succeed. How fast can you learn? At the moment people of every stripe and background find they can relax and cruise through the material they need to know - facts, figures, languages - 2 to 5 times faster without stress. Occasionally people sizzle along ten times faster and still remember what they’ve learned. How do they do it? The bare bones: they get into the right state for learning - relaxed alertness supported by feelings anchored in past success. Then they hear their material spoken at a specific pace backed by special music. Basically, they learn faster because they remember better. Over time some develop supermemory. "Your conscious mind is very intelligent, and your subconscious is a hell of a lot smarter," quipped the eminent medical hypnotist, Milton Erikson. Superlearning speaks to your unconscious as well as your conscious mind. It gives you ways to insure that your powerhouse subliminal mind is going in the same direction you are. Superlearning helps you make the most of another often overlooked ability - the power of your imagination. You can wake up your inner senses and use your imagination for yourself not against yourself. A trained imagination helps you learn anything better. It gives you mastery in imaginary rehearsal for peak performance of all sorts. It lets you feel the freedom that comes from re-writing your past and creating your future. Superlearners identify and dissolve the three classic blocks to learning and top performance. Dr. Tatiana Matano taught Superlearning to high achieving professionals who wanted to do even more but feared burn out. "I think people are propelled to the greatest achievement," she noted, "by dissolving blocks." For the full story and the how-to of the learning revolution,

That’s been part of Superlearning since the beginning. Christian Drapeau picked up the first Superlearning book as a teenager in Montreal. He spent the summer learning how to relax his body and center his mind at will. He honed his ability to visualize and then developed all of his imaginary senses. He used suggestion and the special Superlearning music. Drapeau had already earned his brown belt in Tai Kwon Do, Korean style karate. Hearing the North American Games were to be held in neighboring Ontario he decided to try something different in the month before the games. "I totally stopped physical training, and trained mentally everyday using the Superlearning methods." Fighting among the black belts, facing much older contestants in one weight category above his own, Drapeau won the championship. He adds the same Superlearning techniques carried him with ease to a graduate degree in neurology. The Swiss Dr. Raymond Abrezol has 114 Olympic medals to his credit, not as Superman but as a mental trainer who’s coached European athletes to the top in sports as varied as skiing, skeet shooting, soccer and boxing. Abrezol is a leading practitioner of a MD developed European mind system - Sophrology, the science of harmonious consciousness. Bits of Superlearning® were drawn from Sophrology and the systems share many basic techniques. A subliminal suggestion in one that by-passes your conscious awareness but is picked up by your unconscious mind. For almost a hundred years now, scientists particularly in Russia, the UK and the US have explored the intriguing possibilities of these subtle suggestions. And, as is just becoming public, so have the would be mind manipulators in the world’s covert agencies.
Done properly, in controlled laboratory conditions, subliminal suggestion has been proven to work. Subliminal information can channel to you through the sense of sight, hearing, smell - even touch in experiments involving subliminal electric shock. Since the 30s, the Soviet worked to develop conditioned reflexes subliminally. They did. Subliminal suggestion can influence your heartbeat, brain waves, your basic drives like hunger and work best when tied to emotional drives. For an excellent overview of more than half a century of scientific subliminal research see Dr. Norman Dixon’s book Preconscious Processing (Wiley, 1981).
The late Dr. Lloyd Silverman of New York University long the leading US subliminal investigator came up with a special suggestion that he found, among many other things, boosted learning. Following Silverman’s lead, Dr. Kenneth Parker asked his business law students at Queens College, NY if they’d like to earn an extra credit by taking part in a subliminal experiment. They would.
Three times a week during the semester, Parker’s students looked through a tachistoscope - a light device. All they saw was a bright flash of light. It was too quick to catch the suggestive message embedded in it. Their professor adamantly refused to reveal the message even after finals. He waited a month to check long term retention.
Parker found his law students got the secret message in more ways than one. They remembered more of what they learned than a control group. They also scored ten grade points higher for the course. A nice surpass, but nothing compared with the shock students go when Parker revealed the message their deep minds had embraced: "Mommy and I are one." Embarrassing, preposterous - maybe, but ever since Silverman conjured her thirty years ago, Mommy has been trotting through scientific literature helping out in all kinds of ways.
To discover what else Mommy can do, and for an in-depth discussion of worldwide subliminal discoveries see Supermemory: the Revolution by Ostrander & Schroeder. For a shorter account and some make-them-yourself instruction check Superlearning 2000. For Parker’s protocol see "Effects of sub-liminal symbiotic stimulation on academic performance." Well crafted, targeted subliminal suggestion does work in the lab. What about mass produced suggestions on commercial MP3 - Tape or CD Format ? Some people find them highly effective, even transformative. Other do not. It might be worth finding out for yourself.

"Students learned Spanish three times faster than before and without stress."
A wave of academic exploration into accelerated language learning was set off by the above findings by psychologist Dr. Donald Schuster of the State University of Iowa at Ames. Schuster, who co-founded the professional Society for Accelerative Learning & Teaching (SALT) and edited their Journal, put Superlearning to the test.. The system worked for Spanish, German, French. Schuster found it also worked for computer languages. He used the new way of learning to teach Pascal to a class full of 100 students. At semester's end, they scored slightly higher than three groups learning the usual ways - and they did it in half the class hours.
Dr. Jane Bancroft, another Superlearning pioneer, introduced the new way to her classes at the University of Toronto. Students crowded around at the end of the term. "Thank you, my asthma has gone away." "Your class has helped me stop fighting with my parents." "You've cured my headaches...my insomnia... my allergies." Nice, but Bancroft was bemused. She wasn't teaching psych; she was teaching French 101. (Tests showed learning and memory accelerated too.) Bancroft got an up close demo of the wonders of built-in stress release.
For two decades now, people around the world have been picking up languages the accelerated way. Canadian Naval Commander Charles Croucher summed up some typical results. He and his wife, both language specialists, used Superlearning on their own to get a grip on Japanese. They reported in the prestigious British Journal Incorporated Linguist "We were able to absorb a minimum of twenty to twenty five simple Japanese phrases a day without stress. Studying half an hour every weekday, one could gain the basics of Japanese or any language in two months. Unlike other methods known for quick learning and just as quick forgetting, tests proved a high level of retention."

"Training time is money," says Dr. Dieter Jaehrling, a lead trainer for Audi in Germany. Audi has saved time and money for years using Superlearning techniques to teach robotics, electronics, welding methods. Savings come too from fewer sick days, Jaehrling says, from the relief of "angst and stress" built into the new way of learning. In Germany, prospering training companies have developed to bring the accelerated methods into blue chip companies like IBM and Siemens, to unions and government.
Technical innovations are becoming like the fabled dragon’s teeth. Get hold of one and ten more pop up. How do you retrain workers, particularly older ones who‘ve had a long time to get used to established ways of doing and learning? Superlearning, was the answer for C.L. Hallmark of AT&T’s National Product Training Center. He had to make employees letter perfect in handling something new and difficult: complex control boards full of alarms that light up if a phone system goes wrong.
"Information must be ingrained in the workers’ minds to allow prompt response to trouble," Hallmark says. Superlearning saw to the ingraining. Hallmark’s team found it "Well adapted to our needs for training in a push button world." And, they added, older workers found the built-in stress relief a real plus. Hallmark liked the system so well he’s had an excellent demo of Superlearning technical training - complete with music, mind calming scenes from nature, paced delivery of data - on the world wide web for almost two years via an AT&T homepage.
"From here on, lifelong learning is the name of the game." "The career wise will have to learn how to continually re-invent and re-educate themselves." "Formal schooling will be less important than the ability to pick up knowledge as you go." So say the business gurus. That’s the reason many individuals learning how to learn on their own and equipping themselves with Superlearning techniques. .
The book Superlearning 2000 gives a broad view of business training, some German training protocols, plus a highly effective way to help everyone from clerk to CEO overcome resistance to change using a method created by the chief US trainer for Japan Airlines.

Superlearning/accelerated learning has been working wonders with kids for two decades in school - and now more and more at home. When teacher Charles Gritton first tried the system in a Des Moines ghetto school, failing kids learned they weren’t failures after all. Suddenly math made sense and tests were passed with ease. Attendance soared, trouble makers sent to the hall pressed their ears to the door not to miss anything.
Pioneering teachers like Gritton may have arrived just in the nick of time. Horse and buggy learning isn’t going to cut it on the superhighways of the next millennium. Children are the real 21st century citizens among us. They most need to learn how to learn. They need to be equipped with techniques to help them navigate a fast shifting world and job market. They need the know-how to tackle new things with confidence. Most of all they need that spark of joy that makes lifelong learning an adventure.
Dr. Rosella Wallace introduced Superlearning with its
special music, rhythmic presentation, guided imagery and relaxation ploys to her third
graders in Anchor Point, Alaska. "I saw a tremendous improvement in my class,"
Wallace says, "in development of thought, concentration, and memory."
At year end, her kids scored in the 94 percentile on the
standard spelling exam, highest in the school. Parents noticed they had better behaved,
more focused kids and asked Wallace to teach them how to relax and concentrate too.
Working with parents, Wallace also found Superlearning ideal for home schooling.
Walter Deehring CEO of a top marketing firm decided to see if Superlearning could help turn around his 12 year old daughter. She loathed school and not surprisingly had a F/D grade average. Father and daughter worked together for two 30 minute sessions a day. Deehring began with Superlearning relaxation exercises. Next he trained his girl in visualization and full sensed imagining. For school subjects like arithmetic and geography, he used the Special Superlearning Music and rhythmic pacing of material.
Within two months, his daughter's grades rose to a C average and kept on going to Bs and As. Says Deehring, "Superlearning is what opened my daughter's potential. If our children are going to flourish in a global economy, they need to know the techniques of global learning."
In Atlanta, Dr. Allyn Prichard took on a class of kids who just couldn’t read, kids about to end up on society’s discard heap. "With this new way of learning, you’ll be able to read," he told his doubting students." "You’ll be learning to use your imagination just the way the Brave and Dolphins do in mental sports training." Prichard’s startled students picked up a years worth of reading in twelve weeks. This four times speed-up held steady for classes over ten years.
These are just three of hundreds of documented success stories of Superlearning in grammar and high school. There are even more "undocumented" accounts by parents like Deehring and grandparents helping their own kids with at least some of the Superlearning ideas. Most used is the special Superlearning Music. Step by step instructions, exercises for children and resources are in both Superlearning and Superlearning 2000.

"I just can’t get to sleep at night," an aristocratic visitor complained. He wasn't talking to his doctor. He was consulting a composer - no less than Johann Sebastian Bach. "As you know," the man went on, "I have to be alert in my work." Bach composed some special music and dispatched a harpsichordist to play it nightly for the harried insomniac. Soon he was snoring. The grateful snoozer, Russian envoy Count Kayserling, paid Bach a handsome sum for his magic music.
Bach named the piece for the late night harpsichordist, Johann Goldberg - and that’s how the famous Goldberg Variations got its name.
From sea chanteys, to trance dancing, to tuning to the "fundamental tone" OM in Indian music, humankind has long delved the hidden powers of music. It is one of the most satisfying routes to healing, to expansion of mind, creativity, vitality - and harmony. The esoteric side of music is making a comeback back today with science bringing new insights. Superlearning Music helped pave the way.
If you were hooked to monitoring machines as Superlearning Music played you’d see your heartbeat, blood pressure, muscle tension, stress factors in your blood, all lower. It’s almost identical to the healthy physical changes brought by meditation - TM in particular. Except you don’t have to do anything. It’s automatic. But that’s not the best part.
Would you like to learn faster? Do you want to strengthen your memory? Reams of data worldwide show the right kind of slow Baroque music by 17th and 18th century masters has helped people of almost all ages and backgrounds do just that.
"It’s better than a pot full of coffee!" That’s what Dr. Albert Tomatis, a member of both the French Academy of Science and Medicine, said about his discovery involving music and high frequency tones. He found certain high frequencies energize the brain, brighten creativity - and are remarkably successful in curing learning disabilities like dyslexia and autism. He’s just one of the scientists journeying into the interior land of sound.
Another pioneer is Janalea Hoffman RN and music therapist. Her "rhythmic medicine" is helping people control and overcome physical and emotional ills. And Dyveke Spino, co-founder of Esalen Sports Center, is using her training as a classical musician and composer to create beautiful music to help people relax, focus, re-energize - music to enhance any sort of mental rehearsal particularly mental sports training.
These pioneers and many others are unearthing a treasure trove of ways to use the mysteries of music to heal ourselves and open out to our full capabilities.

High-Frequency Music for Superlearning
The Sound of Smartness
Which music contains these ultra high-frequency sounds
of smartness? Dr. Tomatis' research (see Sound Therapy)
shows that Mozart's music is exceptionally rich in these brain-energizing sounds. US
research showed that listening to Mozart just for ten minutes before a test boosted IQ
scores sharply.
Meanwhile, in secrecy shrouded Eastern bloc countries, decades of research by another MD,
,uncovered the same exciting discovery - high-frequency music like Mozart's
enhances mind/memory, vitality and motivation. He incorporated this music into the world's
first accelerated learning method.
The Superlearning system uses this fast-paced, high-frequency music by Mozart as another
route to high-speed learning. It's used for an "active concert" in addition to
the relaxing, slow, 60-beat music that's combined with rhythmically paced data.
High-frequency music is ultra simple to use to create learning miracles and optimal
performance. Just play these Mozart CD's and read aloud to the music - you read aloud
anything and everything you need to learn - tech data, whole texts, speeches, scripts...
Tape or MP3 your reading and play the Tape or MP3 anytime when you're commuting or on the go with your
day's activities. (For the full "how-to" on maximizing benefits from
high-frequency music, see Superlearning 2000.)

You'll accelerate a lot more than learning if you know how to let go of stress and relax when you want to, where you want to. Stress can blank out memory. Princess Diana surely worked hard to get herself ready to remember all the minutia of protocol for her "wedding of the century." All went swimmingly. Finally, the high point of the ceremony arrived. The hundreds crowding Westminster Abbey hushed as Diana turned toward Prince Charles. And plighted her troth to "Phillip." Stress can also lower IQ by up to 10 points - even in grammar school children according to a classic study at Georgetown University. Training in stress reduction has almost universally shown to enhance performance in the learning disabled, the gifted, and everyone in between. The Addiction Research Foundation of Ontario ran a fine comb test of the stress releasing techniques of Superlearning colleague, Eli Bay, founder of Relaxation Response Ltd. They checked everything they could - from coffee consumption to job performance to hostility towards mate - concerning 170 big city white collar workers. After 15 hours of relaxation training, the vast majority moved to healthier norms across the board. The scientists reported, "Relaxation appears to be the key that provides access to a variety of other changes... it’s a leaven of well being that activates one’s ability to break out of vicious cycles ...and permits some measure of self-reintegration at a happier, healthier level." Superlearning has stress reduction built-in. It’s this two for one that so attracts businesses. Dr. Dieter Jaehrling, lead trainer for Audi in Germany remakes that beyond the gains of accelerated training, Superlearning’s release of stress can save industry millions in fewer sick days and less alcoholism. Superlearning Music lowers stress automatically. So do other SL techniques like mind calming, guided imagery, and physical routines. One of the best is autogenics - literally self birthing - a long proven method devised by a German MD. With practice, autogenics has led people to nose dive down Alpine ski runs aplomb, to cross the Atlantic in a sailing canoe - and most extraordinary, it brings practitioners lower health insurance rates in Switzerland. You can find a full autogenic program used by Russian cosmonauts in both Superlearning books. Whatever method you choose, if you can relax your body and mind at will you’ll learn better, perform better - and way beyond that, you‘ll live a healthier, happier and probably longer life.
